Cedar Mill Remodel

Location: Cedar Mill

A beautiful bathroom transformation reimagined for a special client. This duo dreamed of having a bathroom dedicated to themselves — functional and personalized for their individual taste, daily routines, and visiting guests. A functional, bathroom designed for guests and life means plenty of hidden storage and creative organization. To add the illusion of added space, we transformed the original door into a pocket door, raised the vanity with legs rather than a typical toe-kick, and recessed the mirrors into niches. These “tricks” along breezy colors and stunning lighting helped to visually expand your typical late 90’s era hall bathroom, into a breath of fresh air.

For the family room, we transformed the space with endless hidden storage. Now, seasonal decor, cozy throws, and all the grandkids’ toys are tucked neatly away, easily accessible whenever they are needed. This family room is functional above all — we created space for a Peloton, a work-from-home desk area, and enough space to stretch out for a movie or nap! Our friends at Opus Construction (link) created expanded the space by pushing back the far wall. By working with Opus from inception to the final touches of the build, we far exceeded client expectations — by the time we were done, the clients were sad to see the team go!

Before

Arlene, I wanted to let you know how much we loved working with you and your team and how happy we are with the results. Every one of your team members contributed to making our experience with Lord Design an exceptional one. The fact that you have coordinated such a cohesive team of professionals is impressive…Kudos to you!

As we had worked previously with a designer, whom we trusted and loved for many years, we knew the benefits of good design. However, he decided to move to Thailand, and we were left with a couple of rooms that still badly needed help. We were nervous about reaching out to find a new designer but based on a referral, reached out to Lord Design. We were lucky! Your site visits immediately put us at ease. You are so engaging, efficient, professional, and open to different tastes. (I mean seriously, I am a fan of mid-century modern, in a Beaverton suburban home!) You nailed it! Once we came to your office to ‘see’ the design in 3d, the decision was a no-brainer. We loved your design concepts, colors, and decor. Tasteful, and yet fun and easy going. Exactly what we wanted for our bonus room and upstairs bath. Beautiful design yet casual, kid and nap friendly. Boom!

The follow-through and coordination with the general contractor were seamless. Every detail was thought through. The design was fabulous, and I loved the fact that you worked with us to finalize all the details, including the furnishings and down to the finishing touches. Anita and your team ensured that every item we purchased was flawless.

Wow….just a great experience. So lucky to be able to work with you, Kimberly, and Anita….

Looking forward to future endeavors.
